Once again great pics Steve. Never heard of a Starling being ringed before. Pity e cat see the letters on the rings.


I have had a reply from the Ringing group that I emailed.

"Many thanks for reporting one of 'my' starries. On having a close look at your photos, it is ZB6, a juv female ringed in my garden at Wellington Park, Montrose, on 29/5/23. One of eight ringed that day. I have now ringed over 9200 starries."

By road, Montrose is 84 miles from my place. Must be 50-60 miles, as the Starling flies. Remarkable, for a bird only a couple of months old.
