time for a clean up

As well as improving it, put some cameras into these places and prosecute 'littering' (including urinating) offenders (you can be fined for this in public places).

AI generated info:

"Urinating in public in the UK is an offence that typically results in a Fixed Penalty Notice (FPN) ranging from £50 to £400, depending on the local council or police force. Fines are frequently issued under anti-social behaviour or environmental laws (as "littering"), with higher penalties or prosecution possible for repeat offenders or serious offences."

Many councils have found that combining better public facilities, clearer signage, and visible enforcement is more effective than relying solely on fines.

My neighbour had the Flying Scotsman trip for a present and went into town by train and walked to Moo(r St.He said exactly the same ( before it was online) that town was disgusting. He only rarely visits town and said will steer clear from now on.
This takes me back to the old outside markets that everyone is nostalgic for.....always smelt and the underpasses no go areas later in the day.

The best, safest and cleanest way to get to Moor Street Station from New Street Station (Grand Central) imo, is crossing over Smallbrook Queensway at the crossing near TK Maxx and then going through the Bull Ring Shopping Centre turning left once inside it and going down to the lowest level, taking the exit down the escalators to the right of Selfridges and then it is straight ahead of you as you come out of the shopping centre, across the pedestrian crossing on Moor Street. In my opinion, turning left through that badly lit tunnel has always been an unwelcoming route to take.

That is fine John, but at times when use of the alleyway might be most questionable would the Shopping Centre be open?

this is an aside to the problems around moor st....mike ive been asking for a long time now...where are the public toilets for both men and woman?..its all very well for some to say use a pub or mcdonalds etc but these places quite rightly can refuse you entry to use their toilets if you are not a customer and to be quite honest i dont like the thought of doing it..years ago i was never stuck for a pubic loo in the city centre so come on bcc start providing your people with more public toilets again

I suppose maybe if the toilet doors in the council house were sealed there might be a favourable response, but, regretably, that is not likely to happen
