Sadly not too familiar with my new graphics package, so limited to what you see below. One colour, one B&W & one sepia. Hope they are of some use! JAMES 1ST BIRTHDAY 4.6.17 032 clarify mono sepia.jpg JAMES 1ST BIRTHDAY 4.6.17 032 clarify mono.jpg JAMES 1ST BIRTHDAY 4.6.17 032 clarify.jpg

Hi Lyn

Its always quite hard to improve on detail that's not there, you tend to get artefacts creep in. I have tweaked it a bit x

I had a quick go Lyn, but difficult to improve and I think I lost the horse !
I took parts from the higher resolution but very dark original and blended them into a lighter but lower resolution copy.

What a smart angelic "butter wouldn`t melt in my mouth" quartet. I particularly like the lad with the waistcoat & Albert.

many thanks phil..another massive improvement..i find it fascinating how such badly damaged photos can be bought back to life again by you experts:)...oh all the lads are brothers but the lad on the right sitting down is the main man...he is the dad of a friend of mine..she is nearly 84 and wanted a better copy of it..

I`ve just noticed, the lad on the right has his fly undone!

Hi Lyn, Someone with Photoshop could probably do better. It seemed to me that whoever had sellotaped the photo back together had not got the two halves joining so I moved the right hand side from the join slightly left and rejoined them. Down the the bottom right corner is a zig zag showing how much I moved it ... I didn't notice it before I posted ...:)

this is a very poor photograph but would be very grateful for any help tidying it up please...
