This is a new thread for this current year,

Grateful if you could keep posts when reporting scams etc to the basic facts so that other members can quickly access information about them. Hopefully by so doing, we can help prevent members falling into the many online scams out there.

Thanks for your cooperation,

Had this email today, Your courier is delivering your Ark Rubber and Resin parcel today. I haven`t ordered this so i`m not sure what to do when it arrives? Anyone else had this problem? Advice please.

Scams seem to be almost cyclical…my wife and I have been getting five or six phone scams daily this past week. In addition as in the article (from Mort) we also get many emails from UPS and the scary one: Norton. Unfortunately the so called authorities on both sides on the pond cannot or will not do anything!

Thanks Mort, The `rubber resin` parcel arrived. Turns out to be the artificial grass I ordered & not rubber resin, no wonder I was confused (normal for me unfortunately)

My Wife has a habit of falling over so the grass should be a bit more forgiving than the concrete !

My older sister got caught of a couple of weeks ago. She got an email saying she had to make a claim for any benefits she may have missed. She clicked on the link and it listed all the benefits available one of which was the winter fuel allowance.
It said she needed to claim that day and she duly completed the form giving all he information. They said they would send a confirmation text to her which never arrived so she phoned me. I knew straight away and told her it was a scam and she phoned her bank to put an alert on her account. Nothing has happened so far but now she on alert for anything else that might crop up.

I had an e-mail supposedly from Amazon today. It was headed from: "info@inmoalcor.ec" which looked a little dodgy to me, as did the focus on the back of a random card, which was at the head of the e-mail, suggesting what sort of information they might be after from me.

I won't be sending them anything, but I will be reporting it as spam. Be aware should you get anything like this, it looks pretty good, but it wasn't quite good enough to catch me!

Update your payment method to continue Prime

Hello *****.com,

Your Prime membership is renewing on Sun, March 23, 2025. However, we noticed that your default payment method for your membership is no longer valid.

To avoid losing your benefits, we'll try charging other active payment methods associated with your Amazon account. If we can't process the charge for your membership fee, your Prime benefits will be suspended.

Thank you,

Credit card numbers don't usually change with reissue unless you've got an upgrade or reported it lost or stolen. The acknowledgement number will change.

If it was an Amazon card, they have the number.......I have a card with a store that sells fishing shooting and stuff like that. Mine just go updated, expiration date and that had that. Turns out at least it seems that the exp date is also a part of the number even though it has not passed.
