Anyway pics - interior views taken through glass with as little reflection as I could get. The bedroom is the front right window as you look at the prefab. The window seen through the door is the kitchen window through which I took the kitchen pictures.

We have lots of examples of refurbishment of old buildings into other uses, but for obvious reasons, not back to their original purpose. In this case, it looks very much like a 'keep it simple' approach, while bringing the houses up to modern required standards. Hopefully, the new residents enjoy the prefabs as much as other occupants before them.

They were ahead of their time when they were first built a must see when they are finished.

I’m not sure what the final plans are for these prefabs but on the consultation, I spoke to the Historic Building Trust and suggested they keep one in original condition and open it as a museum. There would they need to be some staffing costs that could be covered by rental income as a revenue stream from the others. I recall there were about 14 give or take a couple. As the existing prefabs would not meet the required insulation and energy efficiency levels then as listed building, some renovation works could be funded by grants.

UK rental is quite high at the moment too.
