Someone somewhere will have them fingers crossed.Sadly those are all my cards not a complete set
i am not going to make up the full set as they are all the cards i had as a
kid i did have a full set as well as these sadly they are lost
im lucky to still have these
I wasn't. I didn't want to upset him in any possible way, in case he didn't come down my chimney, or heavens forbid, didn't give me the present that I had queued so patiently for. I was convinced that he would give the best presents, to the kids who were the best behaved and it wasn't a risk worth taking back then, for me to play up. I got a red space gun once, it certainly worked that time.My kids were terrified of Santa in department stores, they found him really scary!
Yesnot exactly a toy but the other week my grandaughter 4 in january came round with a box of coloured chalks and asked if she could use my slabs out back to draw on them...of course i said yes and straight away i was transported back to the days when i used to mark out hop scotch on the pavements...cost us nothing but we had hours of fun..

A couple of my grandchildren also found him scary! My kids were terrified of Santa in department stores, they found him really scary!
Yes we used that broken white stone that some used for flower borders. And some before the stone was broken, it was a dire needYes
we never had chalk we used abit of broken brick/stone or Slate
I still am. Our grandchildren are too if they were only allowed to be. The little one loves playing with the jumping frog, from a Christmas Cracker. We have a reserved table sign and we flip it to each other over that. He has a ball which has sections and you squash it down and it springs back. I put his little duck on top and we catch the duck. Or throw the ball to each other outside and bounce it off the chair. I had a slide projector too, some of them were bible stories, the boy who cried wolf and Joan of Arc that I remember. How easily pleased we were!
I think so and the Balsa wood ones with cardboard wings and you weighted the nose with a penny.Does anybody else remember Zetas from their early 60s Birmingham childhood? They were little delta-winged plastic planes that launched from a small catapult that came with them. They zoomed and soared impressively during their short flights. Quite uncontrollable, though!
and when you opened the box very disappointed at timesThe one thing I remember about childhood toys was the advertising and artwork on the box depicted how you will have an amazing experience way over and above anything you could imagine and with a high degree of realism.
Not quite the Zetas, Nico. Zetas were one-piece plastic shaped like the old Vulcan bomber and with very thin flat wings.I think so and the Balsa wood ones with cardboard wings and you weighted the nose with a penny.
I had one and remember all the solid rods and roof. It was a bit fiddley and, in all honesty, I would make a start and never finish it.Anyone have one of these?

There were plans inside for you to use to build houses (mainly). There were green bases marked with holes. You slotted metal roda into the holes according to the plan. Then threaded red or white bricks onto the rods to build the house of your choice. There were widows and doors plus roof panels as well.
Quite fiddly and I think myy Dad got more enjoyment out of it at first than I did. Althugh I did get used to it eventually. Can't rememebr how old I was when it appeared one Christmas.
And I believe that the anticipation was SO high. It seemed to me that the graphics were always better than the product! The one thing I remember about childhood toys was the advertising and artwork on the box depicted how you will have an amazing experience way over and above anything you could imagine and with a high degree of realism.
Too many times for me. Or I would make a start and finish later.I had one and remember all the solid rods and roof. It was a bit fiddley and, in all honesty, I would make a start and never finish it.
I used to go three times to see him, Woolies Marks and Co Op. I thought he just moved around.mom never took our us kids to see someone dressed as santa in store she said it could have been anyone hiding behind that get up.
we waited for the real one to come down the chimney

Nan & mum hated cap guns my partner does now. Nan would say don't you dare.!
When my dad got made redundant I cut a job out for Father Christmas. I can't tell you what he said.A couple of my grandchildren also found him scary!
I found the reindeer scary in Owens I thought it was real. I put Marks before for Santa but it was Owens. I never called him Santa either it was Father Christmas. Teacher said there was a mother Christmas too. Dublin friend said Daddy Christmas. Partner said Pére Noél, her dad frightened her, dressed up too. Some children did .
I used to make rudimentary aeroplanes with stickle bricks remember those?. I made a black one, dad said it was a Black Meg.Not quite the Zetas, Nico. Zetas were one-piece plastic shaped like the old Vulcan bomber and with very thin flat wings.
