As I said not much on this Roll - the other photo I referred to had no information so as usual over to you and I will update the information if you are successful.
So we have the demolition of something, somewhere, couple if diggers, few skips and and a building covered in the corrugated concrete sheets.
I also note the tall television aerials and you can just make out the words Hussain Central and TV which may help someone.

dont think ive seen this one before steve...i usually have a good memory of photos with people in them...could be anywhereand finally old house !!, a selection of terraced house of all shapes and sizes , interesting layout of the nearest ones - central passage , door but no windows on the floors above and then three floors of windows. Shop with a bay window further down the street, a few two storey terraces, back to three storey and you can just make out traffic light at the end of the street and a Ford Zodiac or Zephyr across the road.

cracking photo steve and yes both poultry and rabbits used to hung outside the shops..imagine that happening todayRoll 16 is another short roll only two picture one is poor but interesting the second is okay but both have no description.
All I have on this one is Mr. Harrison outside his shop aged 10. very poor picture but interesting as I presume this was how poultry was sold back in the day - approximately 60 birds of various shapes and sizes, tables full of fruit and a selection of children . Is that Holly across the top - could it be Christmas or is that wishful thinking . -

nice to see its still there steve but new build either sideMoving onto Roll 14 and another roll with hardly any new images, lots of postcards which I have seen so I am sure you have - multiple picture of the same image ( badly done) and one image which I have no details of!!
First we have The Bulls Head in Bishopgate Street, very ornate stonework which extends to the attic windows, two entrances including the usual corner one. Love the Kenways lorry too.

we canno be sure that the Hussain sign is not just advertising, and not at actual business premises, but here is advert from 1883 . showing it at 48 Pershore StAs I said not much on this Roll - the other photo I referred to had no information so as usual over to you and I will update the information if you are successful.

I notice Kunzle have a shop there , yet when I lived in the area 1955-69 Kunzle were located on Broad StreetNext we have Anchor Inn , Islington Row corner of Tennant Street. I like the dark ground floor and the white upper floors and that the windows are only on the Islington Row side. Interesting layout of the building to the left shaped eaves, intersting shape above the first floor windows and the blinds on the shop fronts apart from the cake shop. . Like the vans on either side of the photo. I am afraid I have no dates for these picture - they are photos of photos again.

Hi Mark, I am looking at some lovely Photos of Fort Dunlop on here, I did an apprenticeship in the machine tool department between 1974 and 1978 leaving in 1981. You mention a small branch of TSB which I banked with and still sort of do. It was the first bank account I opened to put my wages in but in 1974 it was called the Birmingham Municipal Bank which got taken over by TSB, then much later Lloyds. Happy memoriesAgain courtesy of Aerofilms this is the the main gate in 1930:-

As you can see an additional building (like a small house) then was in the main gate. The canteen block on the left had different levels of dining room including one with silver service for executives! The steps on the left were in latter years the entrance to the company shop where you could buy just about anything with the "Dunlop" brand on it. Behind it was a small branch of TSB. The small building with the flagpole opposite the steps was the council chamber which later (I started in 1982) became the Dunlop museum.

those signs would be worth a pretty penny now...must have been thousands of them destroyed over the yearsNo date I am afraid but at least we have this as Monument Road, all boarded up but with both M&B and Ansells signs. Interesting step on the roof line . Like the shop next door with Brooke Bond Dividend Tea and the General Store sign over the door.
