Dave M,

You may be interested in Googling .................Arcadia Oak Ridge Cemetry ............in Florida, where there are 18 or so young trainee RAF pilots buried, who were killed during their flight training at Arcadia and Clewiston during the war. We visited the cemetry, and were impressed with how well the plot is being looked after, presumably by the War Graves Commission, and how very touching the headstone inscriptions are

Wonderful photo's as always Dave was Prince William piloting that sea king..ha ha!

Hi Dave, Never heard of HMS Aston Villa before! HMS Birmingham was a well known warship, all the best for the New Year, Cheers now, Bernard

HMS aston villa was heavily damages on 30th may 1940 by german dive bombers...it was scuttled on 3rd may 1940

I wish I had known about this amazing place when I had my trip to England. We had a program on television last week it was a really moving program with interviews with service men and parents that had lost their sons.So sad to think of all those lives lost.

Hi Dave, our Suez plot at the NMA is being completely rebuilt, bit of advance info,
there will be a re/dedication of the plot on Saturday 31st March at 11.45am.
I understand a Piper and around 30 Standard Bearers will be there, cheers now,
Bernard.
