Yet more wonderful photo's I would love to go to one of these events...note to self must retire soon!

Thanks for those pics Dave, nice to see what caused the traffic chaos lol - I had to go from Tamworth to Burton for a study day and knew they had closures on the A513, so stupidly went into Lichfield, not realising the Queen had been at the Cathedral earlier..........
But it was worth the delay to have Hr Majesty visit to show her support.
Sue

Great pictures Dave.
As you say Sue worth the traffic chaos to see the support by the Queen, she looked lovely if quite sombre. It must be difficult for her as anyone to visit the Arboretum because of what it stands for. I have been a couple of times and found it a very tranquil and emotional place a must to visit.

Thanks lyn, while on leaving the Arboretum I met up with someone from this site :):):) no name to protect the innocent :)
Hi Dave, The record of the Royal Hampshire Regiment in my book was1/7/1881, it then became part
of the Wessex Brigade in 1948, with its depot at Exeter. They were 37th and the 67th of Foot,
Cheers now Bernard.
My reference, "History of the British Regular Army 1660/1990.A Dative Record of The Sovereigns
Regiments.

Nice clip thanks for that, nice to see quite a few Guardsmen in the parade, and so many people turned out. I always feel that NI is a little like "The Aden Emergency Policing Operations ", a little side lined.

Me too just Lynne. I have read the link thanks Dave. I am so glad she has a memorial at The National Arboretum and well deserved.

Just to say the annual Ride to the wall at the weekend must have been a brilliant site, estimated 15000 bikers and according to hubby you could have heard a pin drop when the Last Post and Reveille was sounded. There was also a parachute drop in place of the fly past and poppies were dropped - hubby has pics on his phone so as soon as I have read WArrens tips to post will try to put them on.

A mate of mine was a marshal on the day, there was an estimated 15,000 on the run and raised around £100,000 for the Arboretum.
