Great pictures as usual Lyn, I am sure that there are some extras there. Some are actually of 'the Barracks' a court in Guildfrod Street. Look at the middle picture on post #104, it is behind the back Walls of the row of houses on the right at the corner oc Geach Street and Guildford Street. The pictures are: left on #107, third right #104, #105.
some time I wrote a short story about the Barracks yard, you will find it here:
thanks mike...all of those pics were originally posted on this thread by john houghton and i saved them to my files...yes ive read your short story about the barracks yard..i may have a few more of geach st to post in time...
Thanks Lyn. By the way, looking back over my old posts, I realise that I said all that about The Barracks, etc., in greater detail not so long ago. I'm sure it can't be an age thing causing memory loss, must be the weather.
Lyn
they haven't gone completely. Something seems to have happened to the thumbnail. If you right click on the space where the thumbnail is, copy the https address, but remove the bit at the end which says "&thumb=1", and then put that in your browser then you get a download of the picture. Or at least I did when I tried with one of them.
Bit complicated I know, and probably not very well explained
mike
I looked it up on google, Lyne, know where it is now, just to say how sorry I was to see all your lovely photos and hard work so vandalised, after you gave us so much of old Brum.
regards paul
thanks paul..i would be lying if said i am not devastated at the loss of 60000 plus images which played such a major part of the forum...going back to paddington st i am still searching for any pics of this street as i do not have any at all...will keep searching though...
