Too late for hiding our movements I'm afraid. We are tracked everywhere at all times of the day from the day we were born and 'Registered', then came your nation health number, national insurance number, driving licence, passport, utility bills, Vehicle registration numbers, credit/debit card transactions, loyalty cards etc. Whenever we visit a pub/restaurant we are recorded on the CCTV system. When we go to a garage to refuel, the ANPR records our visit. Our movements and transactions are recorded by numerous agencies. 'Single Algorithms' have monitored our movements for decades. Not happy with the information that was being made available about us, agencies now have 'Super Algorithms' to monitor the 'Single Algorithms'. It would be interesting if anyone knows where to go where we are not being monitored. There are programmes on Youtube about algorithms, don't watch them if you are of a nervous disposition.i dont mind people nosing at me profile. i do mind people nosing were i bin when i go out that private![]()

Unfortunately they all track where you go, including the phone companies. That’s how Facebook, Google etc make their money.I have found I can work and surf without Google! It’s just so good knowing that not every click and movement is being recorded and

Hello Smudger, something is wrong at your end, I have no problems connecting to Curry’s / PC World, works every timeReading about DuckDuck go on here i thought i would give it a try. All was okay till i tried to connect to Currys when it wouldn`t let me in, kept redirecting me to" Are you Human". Tried disconnecting my vpn but it made no difference, wouldn`t let me connect to Currys. So, back to Chrome !
If any members have trouble with grammar & spelling ( like i do ) then give `Grammarly` a try. It`s free & very good.
Pete, I know you don`t like ebay, but there are some decent desktop pc`s to be had. My wife's pc & mine were bought off ebay & they are excellent. Just make sure the dealer has 100% feedback. I used a dealer called intelliscope. But, if you`ve got plenty dosh then Currys are about the best. Good luck.after all the agro i have had with this very slow 5mgb isp and the pc dropping out i have changed to bt fiber. weeeeeeeeeee!
so now i will need a new faster pc desktop, any idears please ?

Pete,I have my second Lenovo and really like it. A good friend who likes HP buys everything from their website. They have new, refurbished with full warranties and even in home support. You might give them a look. Prices are very good if they do it in the UK.after all the agro i have had with this very slow 5mgb isp and the pc dropping out i have changed to bt fiber. weeeeeeeeeee!

When we moved last year we (my wife) did not think she wanted a LL. Then a week later before the new install took place we decided to keep it. We have fiber etal, but too late to keep our old number! Just ask that question (if you want to keep the old number). We should have planned better!going fiber do you lose your land line?
All of the above in France makes my FTTC 45mbps down and 8mbps up look positively 'snailpace'.
I have a PC, laptop, iPad, iPhone, and two cctv cameras in wifi contact with the router. Two Alexas are always listening for their 'wake word' and my Sony Google tv seems to chat with the internet even when it is on standby. I once put all of the above devices on at the same time running iPlayer/Youtube and both Alexas playing radio and all ran smoothly.
My broadband provider continually offers an upgrade to 80mbps down (at a price) but I don't see the need at present.
