we have lots of power cuts/power failures due to our supply is overhead cables. i have surge protection on my sockets .i did buy a ups for the phone and pc but it was a waste of time,now i have inverer 12v to 240 and a car battery that runs my pc and modem and phone for a few hours.
plus a back up gen in the shed.

Yes, UPS's are great...............I have a number, so far so good!

Advice please. My wife has an i-pad which works on system 16. She has used it to buy on e-bay for ages, but e-bay now insist that she does an update which it seems needs her i-pad to have system 17. Surely there must be a fix?
ps please keep any advice simple!
