Thanks Lyn, but as suspected it was operator error! Hopefully I've managed it. The first one is Parker, alias Graham, in heaven with a pint of Broadside. I like the one of you taking a picture of me....

Lady P, Right click on pic, open with paint, hold Ctrl (control) and W keys together, you will get a box saying 100%, back space and alter it to, say, 40%. click OK and click save. Eric

lovely photos pen...i agree thats a nice one of our eric...also last but one is good showing marlene..bob and chrism with first timer david grain on the left

Many thanks to all of you. It was my first time but sorry I had to leave early as I was on my way to a meeting of the Railway and Canal Historical Society where we heard a talk about the "Dark Side" of the Regents Canal.

Great meet up, nice to see you all and had a great time. The Forum couldn't survive without you marvellous people, quite a few of you mentioned that you would like to post a lot more but don't think that anyone would be interested in what they have to say, my answer to that is " RUBBISH " it makes no difference whether your post is 1.000 words long or 20 words long , I guarantee that it will strike a note with some member and that will start memories flooding out.
PLEASE, please post your memories or reminiscences, so that we can all share them with you, its a lovely way to make friends.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ONE AND ALL....

Eric

It is on my photo processing program, Photoplus X7 (though I think it was on earlier editions). It has a tab called effects, one of which is artistic effects of various sorts. Below is what it gives for old master and impressionisteric inpressionistic.jpg eric old master.jpg

I use PhotoImpact X3 (the old Ulead program taken over by Corel (because they wanted WinDVD) and then discontinued) and this has a similarly named list of effects. I'll have a go on that photograph of Eric later and see how "similar" they are.

Maurice

I thank you both for explanation, obviously it means downloading some clever software, too technical for me, I will have to stick to brush and paint !!! Eric

I totally agree - you can't even get close to the real thing. Here's the best I could do with PhotoImpact X3 on a watercolour setting.

Maurice

it was lovely to meet you david...hope to see you again..also great to meet pjmburns (janice) bob and malpar (malcolm) who gave me dvd footage of smithfield garage taken in the 60s..struggling to watch it but i will ask my son to take a look when he has time..

Froth,

We've just had our local pantomime and one of the scenes was a regurgitation of the Monster Mash. Your chrome effect reminded me of that - no disrespects to Eric or the others!

It's wonderful to see what you've all done with the paint effects. Frothblower; I specially like the one you've done - is there any chance you could do my first photo of Graham and his pint in Paintshop Pro please?
