The picture is from a suggestion (in 1918) of a part of a building in a developed Birmingham. Who can guess what it was supposed to be ?

it may have been the museum entrance or library??? or at least an artist impression ... maybe ???? lol the top arch looks familiar ???
 
Would it have been anything to do with proposals for Curzon St Station?

Could be Snow Hill Station by the size of it, there is a sort of booking Hall
 
Smtr, Alf and Ray seem to have got it in combination. It was a drawing of a suggested booking hall at new st station. I didn't think it looked at all like a booking hall, but I was obviously wrong there. Below is the suggested new Municipal buildings from the same book

Looks like an interesting book you have Mike. I am a happy bunny today I have just received a copy of Birmingham Faces and Places dated 1889 I won on Ebay. I know it's on CD but it's nice to have the book.
