A wild guess, Sutton Coldfield Town Hall? It just looks like a Sutton Coldfield building.

Sutton was a complete guess, I have no idea really. Is the building still standing today as it does have a familiar look about it.

had the party last night froth...lol..

sorry wend its not that but ive been looking at the pic again and although i know what it says on the caption and dont doubt it i was just wondering if the building was originally built for another use....think i will let it run for a while longer and see if anyone knows the answer....

Are you sure it's not the Town Hall? Because allowing for a few alterations & renovations over the years it looks pretty much the same to me.

morning dek...thats why i posted what the caption said...not being my neck o the woods.....so if the town hall and the council house were one and the same building phils guess was correct.... and i threw a party for nothing...lol

On the old pictures you have no choice but to trust the captions unless you are familiar with the area .
and it was such a good party - shame Froth missed it!
