It never ceases to amaze me where some of the equipment made by Tangye ended up. This small water pump is in a remote part of the Peak District on the River Wye north of Bakewell.

Hi I'm originally from Birmingham and my family on my mothers side still live in Birmingham. I now live in Fare North Queensland Australia have done for 25 years. I recently traveled up to the top of Mount Poverty to visit an elderly neighbour who collect's old machinery. Low and behold I found a Tangye Birmingham 6 1/2 v 1878. I found the story about the Ferry called the wattle that ran on the Lane cove River in the 1800's.
