I was lucky enough to work virtually in the park at Wyndley Baths and we would go for short walks and have our lunch on the grass or feed the ducks. That's the next entrance we will be using to enter the park next week and take a couple of photo's of my old work place. Jean.

Jean What a great place to work. Used to swim to raft BUT I never learned how to dive. Frienss and I went every Sunday morning and walked through the woods - if weather was sunny. Miriam.

Sorry read that wrong about the work . With my school, l class went in the park through town gate and TRIED to paint the small brook and bridge that was there at that time. Miriam.

I'm crying with my memories. Now some Questions to those who know. Was it true that Keepers Pool was hooked up to the arctic because it was always freezing. I remember the slide and the raft and being blue. This is the forties. Also how many of those little wooden bridges were there at Bracebridge nearly thirty I reckon, also remember swimming out to the island but one day a mate of mine drowned and somehow it wasn't quite the same. Regards, David Weaver, Australia.

These were a few photos in Sutton Park, 2005 visit. It was so nice to be back there with some of our friends. Some of them were or are in the Sea Scouts there.

Many thanks, now I'm trying to find it in my memory. Kind regards to you all. PS The burned trees of Victoria are already shooting green foliage and the birds are returning. The animals that survived are now out looking for food. David .

If I see the old park ranger I will ask if he knows exactly where it is [or was] if he doesn't I don't know who will. His moms been poorly of late so I don't want to intrude but I hope to see him out and about. Jean.

I used this map as a guide, I parked on the Parson & Clerk car park, and entered via the Royal Oak Gate,

passed the old Targets, staight on for a bit then take a right, then right again, as on the map, there is no fence around it, wish you luck Dave

I was sitting in my tomato patch last night and a stupid parrot started kicking up a fuss in a nearbye gum tree.Banners Gate, Banners Gate it cackled. Ah the times I whizzed along Monmouth Drive on the BSA Golden Flash from my job in Boldmere to home in Mere Green. Longmore Pool was a happy meeting place for us. Many thanks for jogging old memories, nearly caught a jumbo to come and have another look but I'll write a story instead. Regards to you all, David.

Hello David - What do you think of the mess which has been made to Mere Green?
Great ittle villiage when we first came here. Miriam.

I hear tell it's now a shambles according to my family. It was a lovely little place pre-war and I went to Hill Boys School during and just after the war. Many happy memories in the now Australian brain box but sad to hear it's gone down hill. Kind regards, David.

In the park today Sunny, at times with a cool breeze, one facing Wyndley Gate others at Powells Pool
