Old street pics..

If you were to stand in front of the Kings Head facing the road the Garage was opposite and little to the right.

Does anyone know the location of this picture ??
I don't know the local names, but it looks like Lock No 1 on the Stratford on Avon canal and the picture compliments the guide book description of the lock which oldie has correctly named as a guillotine lock, installed to stop the SoA stealing water from the Birmingham and Worcester canal

I was shocked at the St Thomas's school photo - I have only ever seen a drawing of the school and this is obviously the back. It does look down at heel and rather sad. Does anyone know if the school records are preserved and if they are online?
The answer to your question, Shortie, I have an address to write to about school records.Fingers crossed.

Wake-Green-Road.jpg
Should this be Wake and not Wade?? There is a Wade Green Road in America according to Google earth but this picture does not strike me as being American.

It could be Wake Green Road, around Grove Avenue and School Road. Ill pop out in day or two and have a closer look

River Cole.jpg
It's not really a street but it is a river crossing so I hope it will be o/k on this thread.

Stitcher, where is 5038
Hello Grea, I am sorry but I failed to post the location with it and I can not remember it now. As I sort out my files I just delete what I post or anything else that I do not want to keep. Someone will know the location so we just have to hope that one of the others notices this message.

Grea,
In 1955. Bakers butchers was at 482 Birchfield Road, Maypole was at 478, Dewhursts was at 476 and R.W.Buck was at 474. The numbering was later changed.
