Looks like Acme hotel.
norfolk brummie, afraid not. It was flattened and houses and a Welfare Clinic were erected on the old site.I recall visiting the Women's Maternity Department in Showell Green Lane Women's Hospital, to see my Auntie plus baby cousin, in the 1940's.
Travelling from the Stratford Road end, it was situated on the left hand side. Is it still there?

Blimy there's a turn up Lyn survivors , thanks for the info Viv and John , I know the old women's hospital is not there Eddie but I'm unsure weather it moved to the QE site or part of it is still in Showell Green Lane

Enlarging the coat of arms, there does not seem to be any "Forward " on it, amongst other details

I see that the tramway is single track. The trams in this area were know as the Chinese Railway as some of the streets were so narrow the trams had to take a different route going in ans out of the city.
