Carrying on down the road and we have this selection of shops and what made Hurst street " different" at its time - totally different from the City Centre and markets a few streets away
I think we are slowly turning to the right from where we were just standing, a line of old style what they would call these days Independent traders, selection of shop styles and frontages with tradition shop signs View attachment 217623
I think we have now moved further up the road and more tradition high street building - Midland Bank ( now called HSBC) public Library and a large pub on the corner, all still there - much to my surprise View attachment 217629
