OLD AND NEW PHOTOGRAPHS

The next picture is rather vague -old houses in Lee bank 1960, few silly thinks love the wooden fencing ( pailings- is that the name?). The inner Circle bus stop - by request - of course. A rather battered rubbish bin - heavy metal thing and the first house across the road with the bay window, net curtains and right onto the pavement.

Forgot about those metal bins on Bus Stops always seem to be full of wasps

Next pub is the Wellington - Corner of Balsall Heath Road and Mary Street, like the symitry of the view we have here - central door, leaded windows either side first floor couple of small bay windows either side of the sign and on the second floor a row of three small windows. Telephone box which was on every corner, just noticed the two small windows on the side too.

The rising sun is the next pub we have - I am afraid rather a stark image - I had to stretch the limits to get a viewable image - probably find a better one in a few rolls time !!

Corner of Heneage Street and Windsor street taken in September 1961, brick built but everything on the ground floor either covered in wood or a leaded window, surrounded by newer factory buildings that don't seem to have been there that long, also the scattering of cars to remind you of the era.

another Pub this one is Woodman Inn Sherlock Street all dark wood and leaded windows, three storeys at the front stepping down to two at the back / side. Next door to the left is some serious boarding up and the land to the left of that seems to be cleared - not sure of a year or the actual location .
