Thanks Mark, appreciated. Thank you for getting Thomas as my wife's GT grandfather.
I don't get the birth place for Agnes Louisa Moore. Mount Pleasant?

No, Agnes' parents appear to be Frederick Moore (as per marriage certificate) and Agnes Connor/O'Connor. She is listed as Connor and O'Connor at different times.

Frederick possibly born 1849 Bradford, parents from Norfolk.

Agnes possibly born 1848ish Bham, parents from Ireland.

Their marriage is on Ancestry under Catholic Marriages, 1878.

Oh dear, no. But can see the names and date. Much appreciated. Filium, female. Looks
like Patricia O Connor? I wouldn't have found that...I've done Irish ancestry, phew. Scottish alot easier, People's Scotland, credits. Thanks again.
I said you needed good Latin.

The names are latinised.
Filium means son of - so Frederick Moore was the son of Frederick Moore.
Filiam means daughter of - so Agnes was the daughter of Patrick O'Connor.
Praesentibus testibus are the witnesses.

No worries
I did do 2 years of attempting to learn Latin - compulsory at my school then dropped it asap. :D
But over the years have read a fair few Catholic marriage, baptism and burial records so have learnt what is recorded.

If you bought a cert from GRO then it would look like any other marriage cert with addresses etc, Ths is just the Church Record.

Mark is this correct mote proof. There is a confusion with Louise and Louisa? Thanks again. Good night.Very much appreciated.
Keith.
Birth was registered as Agnes Louise but you will often find confusion over spellings ie Louise/Louisa as the people writing down the info put what they thought they heard. So nothing to worry about.
Also confusion over Connor/O'Connor/Conor.
