Johnson

There's nothing wrong with the 1911 census. Ada was the daughter of William Johnson and Agnes Louisa Moore.

It's from William to his father. The marriage certificate for William and Agnes is probably needed in this case to be sure. Johnson is just too common to be completely certain.

Sorry - thought i had found it online but wrong Agnes

Stop!

The Johnson/Brown marriage is irrelevant until you know who William's father is.

You need William Johnson's marriage to Agnes Louisa Moore from 1900.

You were probably talking about the birth certificate for William Johnson mmn Brown, not the marriage of his parents.

However, we already know his birth date from his baptism which is on Ancestry. So his birth certificate would still be a waste of money.

That just proves that the dob of the William Johnson son of Nehemiah is not the same as that given on the RAF records of the William Johnson husband of Agnes Louisa, which we already knew.

Assuming that there is no mistake then the William son of Nehemiah is not your William Johnson.

And at this stage we don't know who your William Johnson's father is.

That birth cert gives 20 Jun 1879 and Buck Street but on the RAF record the dob is 27 May 1879 so would seem to indicate your William is not the son of Nehemiah.
William and Agnes marriage cert would confirm if William's father is Thomas.
Wait and see if MWS agrees before ordering. You will then have to wait for cert to come through the post as marriage certs have to be full certs not PDF (last time I ordered).

Marriage certificate would be the best bet.

Though you could take a chance of the Johnson/Wainwright birth certificate for the dob and see if it matches.

I'd go for the marriage certificate. Maybe more expensive and slower but you know they are definitely your relatives.
