keith if i was you i would take a break and now order the william johnson/agnes moore marriage certificate..as said it will have to come via post so could take about a week but at least you will then know for certain the name of williams father...the ref number is 6d 674 aston birmingham...if it turns out that williams father is thomas then we can all start again...

As I thought Father William Johnson?
No - that record from FMP simply says Agnes Moore married William Johnson. You need the cert to see who is the father of William.
You thought it was Nehemiah but from what MWS found it is more likely to be a Thomas.
You can order the cert from GRO using the references 6d and 674 and Aston

That birth cert gives 20 Jun 1879 and Buck Street but on the RAF record the dob is 27 May 1879 so would seem to indicate your William is not the son of Nehemiah.
William and Agnes marriage cert would confirm if William's father is Thomas.
Wait and see if MWS agrees before ordering. You will then have to wait for cert to come through the post as marriage certs have to be full certs not PDF (last time I ordered).
Certificate ordered, thank you. Wait and see, usually abt, 10 days. Will give you upto date when received. Think there is alot of incorrect info on ancestry public trees maybe. Thank you all, much appreciated. More minds the better Keith

great keith...take a break now until we know more..with regards to trees on ancestry..yes a lot are correct but i would say from experience more are wrong...take them with a pinch of salt...cant beat doing you own research and obtaining the certificates to confirm things...

There's nothing wrong with the 1911 census. Ada was the daughter of William Johnson and Agnes Louisa Moore.

It's from William to his father. The marriage certificate for William and Agnes is probably needed in this case to be sure. Johnson is just too common to be completely certain.

That is the birth we were on about but interestingly the dob still doesn't match the RAF record. The address does match the 1911 census so looks promising.
Wait until you get the marriage cert then we will know for certain.
Patience now.
