Birmingham City Council have got something right they have named a new square in the Jewellery Quarter - Dayus Square after Kathleen. Welll done BCC

That is great news for a lady who gave me some very happy hours reading her books.

At last the Council have done a decent thing! Kathleen Deyus deserves the recognition for the pleasure she has bought so many Brummies and others.

My wife meet her and chatted to her at a book signing when she was buying her latest book as a present for me. That was a few years ago.

Kathleen Dayus Square, Albion Street, near the old fire station (now a nursery/playgroup) and the still scaffolded George and Dragon pub #sob#

I like that, very appropriate monument. And over time it will have that lovely patina.all over.It refers to 'horse-roads' on the inscription, just like my nan would say, except it was 'orse roads.' to her !
