Thanks everyone, I think it is malware. Good news is my grandaughter just phoned and is coming tomorrow, she helped us before!!
rosie.

I don't think it's malware I have a feeling Amazon are in there somewhere, guce seems to be there to ask you to approve them using your data., it is part of yahoo.

I have been having trouble with Yahoo email from Sky for a while. It doesn't work on Firefox now, "access denied" so I swap to Edge for email. Today I used the normal sign in but it kept changing itself to Guce.Yahoo and It won't let me in at all! I'm hopeless with PC's my husband usually deals with it. I'll get him to phone Sky later!!

Make sure you have the latest version of Firefox.

You could try clearing your Firefox web cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.

(1) Clear Firefox's Cache

See: How to clear the Firefox cache (just web cache, not all site data)

If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.

(2) Remove your Yahoo cookies

While viewing a page on Yahoo, click the lock icon at the left end of the address bar. After a moment, a "Clear Cookies and Site Data" button or script should appear in a 'dropdown'. Go ahead and click that.

In the dialog that opens, you will see one or more matches to the current address so you can remove the site's cookies individually without affecting other sites.

Then try reloading the page. You may need to log back in to Yahoo.

A problem with the separate screen on my desktop PC led me to try a 37" TV which was the only spare screen I had. I connected it and never seen the BHF looking so big. It overhung my computer desk by 3" per side and I had to sit back 4' otherwise I could see individual pixels. With photos etc it looked brilliant but for typing it was a bit tricky trying to reach the keyboard from 4' back.

I've now solved the problem by buying a HP 27" QHD screen, connecting it to my Acer computer, with my Logitec Webcam on top, and Windows 11 running it ... all these different makes working in perfect harmony. I'm now sitting 20" from the screen typing this ... :)

Just recently got a MacBook Pro after my old IPad gave up. I have typed up some of my Mothers notes about her life in Arthur St using Pages on the Mac. I would like to put the piece on the BHF website but have absolutely no idea how to do that. It’s a one page document at the moment. Help would be greatly appreciated.

A MacBook Pro ... a brilliant little device !
If you can convert the document to pdf format, the forum software accepts pdf uploads. It is best to not exceed 1.2Mb file size. Try a test upload of a pdf in the forum Test area before you upload your main document. The procedure is the same as uploading images.

An alternative is to simply copy the document text and paste it into your forum post.

I have two printers - an Epson XP335 which I bought some years ago and a Canon T5051 which someone gave me. The Epson needed new ink, which these days seems more expensive than high class perfume. I decided to try some lower priced 'compatible' ink which caused the printer to detect non-Epson cartridges and ask me whether I really wanted to continue. I did and printed some test pages which look fine to me.

Has anyone else used 'compatible' ink?

Yes, no problems except my HP Envy kept telling that I was using the wrong ink.

I have an Epson SX445W which I tend to use as a scanner rather than a printer. Since having a new router and a soft ware update totally rejects compatible inks, won't let me input the new wifi data, laptop does not detect scanner. Worked ok as a scanner until change of router and laptop software update. Printer has always insisted on a full set of cartridges being fitted even when used as a scanner.

oldMohawk, my Epson would not run on non Epson ink. Tried a couple of times. Even called Epson and they said they detected a non Epson cartridge. I have a HP now and so far only running HP.

i am in the same boat as i posted above, its a bit over the top to me,if you buy a printer it should be up to you what make of ink you put in it, its like buying a car.and it will not run on joe bloggs petrol. or a electric car that will only run on edf electric.grr. rant over

What really bothered me about the HP printer (which so far is working fine) is when I set it up to my Wi-Fi, after I put in the address it told me it already had my password!! I wonder why we bother :-(

Also Hp load a lot of junk along with the software,i delete it afterwards.:grinning:

Thanks all ... :)

My Epson printer has finally realised I'm going use the batch of ink I've installed and stopped showing messages about not using their ink.

These days I only print text and documents so not too worried about some fading. With regard to images I tend to look at them on tablets and phones.

I have discovered however that Windows thinks I have two Epson printers even though I can only see one on the table next to me. One showed as a network printer and the other just as a printer. Using W11 settings I've removed one printer and things are now simpler.

My wife has a Epson ET2750 & the inks allegedly last for 3 years. Had it for 2 years now & still plenty ink left.

A few years ago when I bought my Epson XP335 I considered it was about the right price printer for the small amount of printing I actually do but maybe an Epson Eco Tank printer is better if you can forget printer ink replacement for 3 years. Maybe with the small amount of printing I do it would have lasted 5 years.

I've used Epson printers for years and always use compatible cartridges. Some years ago my son was doing his 'O' levels, daughter 'A' levels, I was doing a degree in Nursing and my wife was doing her Masters and we couldn't afford Epson prices lol. Current printer uses four cartridges which work out at around 40p each IIRC so for me its a no brainer to use them.

Here you go OldMohawk https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_...1313&_nkw=epson+xp335+ink+cartridges&_sacat=0
