Computer help please 2025

Something different, charity shop purchase so probably quite old! Seal binoculars with digital camera, model DG 0527627, has a CD-ROM, remember those. CD-Rom references Arcsoft Photo Impression 4.0.
If I download a more modern version of Arcsoft Photo Impression am I likely to be able to use this digital camera via USB lead, only a toy really, just a bit of fun, not sure why I want to bother when I can use i-phone or my Cannon Powershot.
Any pitfalls. Ta!

Someone who thinks like I do. A whole 0.3 Mp resolution, 640 x 480 pixels. Will it work? I too would just have to find out. Then put it in a drawer with all the other tech that has had its day.
Take care when buying the 2 AAA batteries for it, you may unwittingly double its value, then you would be committed to making it work. ;).
Andrew.

As things stand, Photo Impression doesn't exist any more. If you try to download a later version, there's an even chance it's a fake.

If what you've got doesn't work see if you can get by with just moving the images from the camera onto whatever else you want them for. There are free image editors available on line (Gimp for example) that will do the editing. I've not seen so much avout the cataloging function but you can get Adobe's Bridge for just a sign up.
