I think the top (poor) image must be the frontage of Upper Priory station.

My mother worked at the Apex, she got off the bus near the Aldridge Road fire station just as a huge fire burst through the factory roof, she dashed into the fire station to tell them, one of the firemen said "Ok missus we'll deal with it."

would anyone know exactly where on the aldridge road this fire station was please...the building housing the fire engline looks like the design of the co op shops...
