For those who lusted after the Ward End book (Ken Govier, Ward End from ancient times to the present day, pub 2010), it has been mentioned before on the forum (https://birminghamhistory.co.uk/forum/index.php?threads/ward-end.34981/#post-459539 ), but no one apparently found from where it could be obtained. Having had a good look around the internet, I have been just as unsuccessful today
I took a great photo of you John but for some reason I can't find it? How dare you and my wife conspire to nick my pint! I nearly had a heart attackGreat time today, nice folks, and good raffle, really enjoyed myself.

Feels odd replying to myself but I wanted to flag up what this post was about.I have already sent a message to ask. I suspect it might have been published privately with a limited print run so may be virtually impossible to obtain but we will see.

The book I have is called Memories of Old Ward End By Jose Jukes. ISBN 0 947731 66 0. £4.99 on Amazon. The local history society do not know where I can get a copy or copies. They have put out a request but nothing so far.
I didnt say it was the same book !That is a different book. I borrowed that a few weeks ago from our local library. The one that was a raffle prize was by Ken Govier. It seems to be out of print as we were unable to find it anywhere.
