Lyn i recall it was on a corner on the right hand side as you were walking towards Witton circle before you got to the bike shop

Hi All,
Just found this forum, so I plan to write up a history page of this famous club, that was Birmingham based.
Formed in 1890 by businessmen, several became leaders in industry, but the club was made famous mainly by the working class riders, plus a few athletes.

The old chap with the walking stick is my GG Grandfather John Thomas Johnson, the five riders are his sons with Leon
my G Grandfather on the far right. Second from left is Victor Louis Johnson who held several world sprint records

Aston Villa fans at the Wetherspoons pub in New Street Station yesterday, having a swift one prior to traveling to Liverpool for last night's win against Everton. The most well known of them had a cider and bought the round.

Many years ago in the early seventies, I used to play for a boys football team based in Witton called The Wyrley Gunners. It was run by an ex Aston Villa (1938 - 46) player called George Lunn. George was quite an imposing tall man and I always remember him in his Trilby hat and trench coat. George passed away in January, 2000 aged 84.

Ozzy made an appearance on the Holte End (see below) before Villa's 4-2 win over Celtic on Wednesday evening, which takes the club into the last 16 of the Champions League.

Aston Villa crazy Prince William heading to Midlands to talk about referees​

The Prince of Wales will visit a referee training course next week as part of a campaign to recruit more people from black, Asian and mixed heritage backgrounds into refereeing roles.
William, who is patron of the Football Association, will visit the course at Sporting Khalsa FC in Willenhall on Tuesday March 11.
The visit is a part of the FA’s Reflective and Representative Campaign.
