Connecting with Chinn…

Thank goodness for Carl Chinn and preserving so much of Birminghams history and heritage!

Sutton Coldfield Archives and Local Studies…

Really sad about this for the proud residents of Sutton Coldfield. I've always felt very strongly that the place for local heritage archives/collections is in the local area where local folks can easily access them. Moving anything to the Library of Birmingham will seriously reduce their use I think.

Sutton Coldfield Archives and Local Studies…

I am truly aghast the fact that this library is closing, (we have in the past contributed to the library)! Where are the priorities, so many libraries and museums basically going part time, next they will be closed and pulled down. I did not spend lot of time at libraries , but when I needed to do research, I went. I guess it all on line now. I wonder if everyone has the right computer or big enough screen! Apologies, but I think this closure is a mistake and lack of foresight.

It was the most used local library in Birmingham too - but was in the wrong place allegedly......... nearly all the shops in the old Sainsbury Centre are now closed or moved (Hays Travel and Greggs have moved over the road); only a barbers, photographers and charity shop left and they wont last much longer I reckon. Car park shut since Wilkos closed. Ghost town.......

Thank you Mark, yes I used to get snails of their activity. Sounds like it was in the wrong place, so move it, make it better! It sounds like whoever “they are” are just treating it like another petrol station which will also be closing with the advent of EV’s.
