Really sad about this for the proud residents of Sutton Coldfield. I've always felt very strongly that the place for local heritage archives/collections is in the local area where local folks can easily access them. I am truly aghast the fact that this library is closing, (we have in the past contributed to the library)! Where are the priorities, so many libraries and museums basically going part time, next they will be closed and pulled down. I did not spend lot of time at libraries , but when I needed to do research, I went. I guess it all on line now. I wonder if everyone has the right computer or big enough screen!
