Can't see anything for George. He doesn't appear to be listed on the Bham Council's bereavement page either which suggests he wasn't buried/cremated at one of the main Bham cemeteries.

I think you're right, both being illegitimate children of a Sarah Banks maybe, who is with Emma in 1891. And Emma used her brother's details for her father, again not uncommon. So just a coincidence.

Though that can't be her as the daughter of Frederick Banks the jeweller was born in 1874.

Frederick Banks the jeweller had a daughter called Emma of about the same age as Arthur Albert's first wife Emma Moody (nee Banks). Neither marriage appears to be on Ancestry etc so you would have to purchase either marriage certificate to confirm that they are the same person.

She also had a daughter, Louisa Emma Horton reg. the same. She died young and has a burial record which lists her parents as Reuben Henry & Bella Horton.

I think I've found the birth registrations for George Frederick and John, they appear to be listed as Horton with mmn Plimmer. Years match and with those names I think too much to be just coincidence. Which also proves that Reuben and John are not the same person.

Reuben appears to have been registered as William Henry Reuben Dodwell Plimmer. On the 1871 census he (as Henry) appears to be with a George Plimmer (an uncle ?) listed as his son. Strangely, his mother seems to be living with the Dodwell family - Reuben Dodwell, his wife and their children.

Apologies if this is wrong... As far as I can see William Plimmer, the boxer's only surviving children were 2 daughters (Mabel and Edna), a son (William Henry) died young, and the Arthur William Plimmer mentioned was not his son but his nephew (George's son).

It does appear that Beryl may have been adopted. On her marriage to Bertram Moore she is listed as both Beryl J Sear and Beryl J Compton. There is a matching birth reg. for a Beryl J Compton in Kings Norton district, no mmn (illegitimate).
