On the subject of photos - I came across these on the Birmingham Library site. Unusually for the catalogue the actual photos are there. Lots of Birmingham as well as Warwickshire.

Thank you Pollypops, I've just found "back of 23 Garbett St." where some relatives lived. I hadn't seen any photos of it before.

I thought I was going to be lucky a couple of times - bomb damage Cotterills Lane and a few of Northumberland St - but they weren't quite right.

Thank you pollypops for that link to Shoothill, there are some wonderful photographs on there, I have found lots of photos of places where my relatives lived, Hospital st, Lower Tower st, and Windsor St, once again thank you!
