June 1941 is the date of the photo of car 404, in post 509, which entered service 1912 and was withdrawn 1949. It had a roof as built. The 37 route was named Cannon Hill and this trams will make its way back to the city following the city bound one way loop system, which was not common in Birmingham, through Balsall Heath on what was known as the Chinese railway due to the criss-crossing of the tracks in the narrow streets that the trams traversed. The trams has lost its anti-blast window mesh by this time (assuming it had it in the first place). The base of the Bundy clock has also been painted white.
