Belchers Lane Bordesley Green

Belchers Lane playing fields was our schools sports venue,I remember the bottom football pitch backed onto the hospital

We used to go to Belcher's Lane Playing Fields from our school in Bordesley Green too. My brother went to Saltley Grammar so I used to walk down and meet him at home time. Are they still there or have they been built on yet?

Hi,
I am not sure , I think there was building of houses on the periphery but if you look on google maps the majority of the playing fields are still there. Next time I am passing I take look and pops a picture.

A building called Waverley Academy Studio seems to have been built there with gated access. Described as an UTC. There is still some field area left there on Google but do not know whether other schools have use of the facilities. I used to go to playing fields from Alston Rd Junior school.
