Temple Row

One of my enduring memories, aged about 8, is walking down Temple Row, after meeting my Uncle Joe, and Aunty Ivy, off the train at Snow Hill. It was an Autumn day, and there were mass's of starlings, blackening the sky, swirling and diving in formation, captivating for a young un!!

A fine photo of the Great Western Arcade entrance in Temple Row in 1941 .... after it survived the bombing that destroyed the buildings to its right, down to the Bull Street junction.
