what number bus

In the 1962 Kellys. 125 Park Road Aston is listed as Salvation Army (Industrial & Salvage). This is shown in red on the map

That fits also with the 125 on the wall which confused me if it was Victoria Road

  • The 40 bus routes in the 1960s passed through areas like Aston, Perry Barr, and Kingstanding, providing transportation to residential and industrial areas.

Lyn. the 40 route bused replaced the 5 tram route at the end of September 1950, Bus route 66 replaced tram 79, 64 replaced tram route 2, 65 replaced 78 as the last old style tram route in 4th. July 1953. I had started work at that time and did not travel around as much as I has done previously. I left to live in Devon 1954 so my allegiance, in the first instance, went to Devon General and the Western National buses.
