Acocks Green Village ??

Hi Ragga

Following on the Acocks Green Thread, you are the first person
to refer to it as Acocks Green Village. I lived in Stechford in the
50's and early 60's and that's what I remember it being called,
not the Green. Perhaps it was the immediate locals who referred
to it as the Green.

Kind regards Dave.

My in laws lived on the borders of Acocks Green & Olton nearly all their married life. They would refer to it as "The Village" or "The Green" in equality. I don't think they used either name in any permanence.
