Where is This? 158

Phil

Gone, but not forgotten.
Ok you lorry and van drivers, if you were anything like our lot then you knew every eating place in Brum. So where was this one. For information purposes the photo was taken in 1956.

Phil

Give us a clue Phil

This is from a piece on Birmingham Café's & Restaurants

There are 18132 files which contain 'Restaurants and Cafes'.
Those files where 'Restaurants and Cafes' appears earlier are listed first

I bet I ate in every one of them when I was on the road, what can I say NE of Birmingham and there would have been plenty of delivery vans pass by this place.

Robert

Thats south Birmingham, anyway I can only remember two cafes in Foremans Rd and that wasn't one of them.

Phil

Phil Deakon Avenue is in Witton not far from I.M.I.(as Was). I think The cafe Is just past Adderly Park Station past the old wheels site.

Jean

Sorry no, it will have to wait until tomorrow now as I'm off to bed.

Phil

Pete said he recognises it but can't place it. Have a good nights sleep Phil and don't let the bed bugs bite. Jean.

Well Done it's Doreens Cafe, Drews Lane Ward End.

Not a place that I ever used myself, and that in itself is unusual. Perhaps it had gone by the 60's.
