Hope it's not to late to say i would like to come along and join you all tomorrow. I've nagged and nagged my hubby till he is glad to get rid of me for a couple of hours. My daughter will be with me while my hubby goes for a look round the shops. Hopefully someone will be able to show us the way to keyhill cemetery from the pub as we will be on foot.
Looking forward to it.
Tracy

Great news Tracy, don't worry about getting to the cemetery, just turn up at the pub and we can all go together.:)

Tracy I am parking by the cemetery it's a short walk to the pub. It will be lovely to meet you and your daughter.:)

Just to remind everyone the tourlol (I'm not a professional) tomorrow is a walk through Birminghams History. The cemetery is the final resting place for so many of Birminghams past great and good.
As quoted from a book in 1925 about the cemetery. On every hand may be seen memorials which seem to say "I would not have you to be ignorant concerning them which are asleep".
One of England's geatest statesmen and Birrmingham's most famous citizen, Joseph Chamberlain, has said "This is the most interesting place to a Birmingham man".
Here as nowhere else, the silent monuments yet speak to all thoughtful minds of the great and and fruitful careers of men who in the religious, political, social or industrial life of the city, were "Makers of the Metropolis of the Midlands"
All are welcome!:):)

I'd love to come today but illness prevents. Hope you all have a good day. I'm sure it will be an interesting and enjoyable experience for all of you.

Well a Red Letter Day as Robert WAS early not late. It was great to meet friends old and new especially Jennyann. Nice to see some back in the fold! Thank you all for your support as it was the first time I have done anything like this. Thanks to Brian for supporting me. I did actually enjoy it after the nerves had subsided I suppose this was because I was amongst friends.
A few of us went on to the Pen Room and had a cup of tea and watched a video on the history of pen making. We also listened to a preview of new oral history project. This was the funniest thing I have heard in ages. Jennyann made a pen nib to take back home to Canada. What a smashing day. I am off now to visit my brother in Heartlands Hospital.

Thanks again to everyone!:):)
