Washwood Heath Road

Thanks both. I struggled to pinpoint the modern view, so much changed today, with most street level frontages now retail.
 
Hi, I'm wondering if anyone on this thread could help. My parents are looking for an old friend who lived on washwood heath road from early 60s to late 70s.

His name is Errol brown/Reid. I know he was a teenager in the 70's. He is black but was adopted so lived with white parents. He also had a brother.

Does this ring a bell? Thanks so much
 
This was taken near the junction with Rogers Road (right). To the left, you can just make out two houses in the process of being built (I think it was quite unusual to find that in postcard images). I think this one might be taken near the junction of Wright Road and Aston Church Road. The church in the distance could be St Marks, just beyond the railway bridge. The buildings on the immediate right have gone but the premises where the two men are standing remain (albeit altered, now a domestic, white painted building).
