Companies House lists Pearson and Sons Electrical incorporated 2016. I don't recognise the shop as Shirley.Internet searches are dominated by W.J Pearson & Sons, a farm near Banbury - There is a "Pearson &Sons" Electrical contractors business at 435 Stratford Road, Shirley, but their website gives no indication of how long they have been in business and their current address looks nothing like the building in
I saw that one but I think the one I am looking for is more local to Brum?Might it be this one? H.O. based in Yorkshire and it does say "son" rather than "sons" Registered 1961

That is a good thought - my memory is that it was Brum but it is always possible that it is not.the lamp post in the photo does not look like a typical one for birmingham...could be wrong though

Well I used to visit Nottingham a lot from the early 80s. I checked Sneinton Market but that is single storey buildings. - checking around there now.This may be a silly question - but is it definitely Birmingham?
A newspaper archive search comes up with a firm of that name in 1970 based in Nottingham
Well this looks like it might be it - Handel Street near Sneinton Market - the bags might be shopping from the market. This row has been redeveloped somewhat but very similar features?
