It has its uses and for personal use it can be quite good. The images generated of people subjects to have an 'AI' look like an HDR photograph. There is also an uncanny aspect of things looking too perfect, well known in the industry as the Uncanny Valley. I see it as an occasional useful tool, but not a silver bullet and will tend to serve you what you want to see.

As a personal project for de-aging it can fill a need, however how people age I would say it unpredictable. My grandfather did not seem to change very much, but my mother, his daughter changed significantly over time and I can...

Yes I asked ChatGPT to create an image from an aerial street plan. It’s probably not ideal but just a very rough guess of how it may have looked?

Hi all, I’ve improved this image. If you zoom right in you can probably make out the frontage a bit better of the Lord Nelson pub, I think it’s in the centre of the street?

That's a fantastic improvement to the image I posted, do you subscribe to AI software? I have loads of family photos I would like to improve using AI.

Yes, go to your App Store on your phone and download ChatGPT. I use this and another app called Canva for restoring all of my old photos. I used to be a photo restorer a while back now using Photoshop. I used to make decent money from it now and then. It would take my almost an hour or more restoring an old vintage photo, but Ai can do it in a matter of seconds! So that killed off the restoration work for me!

I think we have seen in discussions on the Forum that you have to be careful with AI restorations ?
