Astonian.
The Deers Leap is a smashing pub, packed at tea times with all the builders. Sundays is great, lots in bar and lounge. The beer is really cheap and a great atmosphere. Mild and Guinness is fab. We love the place after Villa games and sometimes Sunday lunchtimes.

Buffet Island as its called (The Trees), has been packed to the bursting point since it opened. I will definitely get down there before Christmas. It's £15-50 a head, they also have a carvery which is great for my hubbie who owns eats English food.

Carol does that include lunchtime should imagine it wouldn't be as full. May try on Wednesday. The offer in the local paper is buy a drink and get one free for how long i don't know. Jean.

£15.50 per head seems expensive for a buffet - when food is already cooked/mass produced and you just help yourself.

I frequent Lee Gardens in Sutton Coldfield - Birmingham Road - just past the Odean Cinema (have done for the last 20 years) at least once a week.

On Sundays and Mondays evenings - all you can eat - ?£12.50/£12.95 - sorry I cannot remember as hubby pays - but it is not more than the latter.

You order off the menu so the food is freshly cooked and you can eat as much as you like for an all in price.

Service and staff are fantastic.

I am finecky with food so wouldn't recommend it if I wasn't happy - plus we have never ever had a bad meal in 20 years.

I remember The Trees, it was my first proper disco and the ultraviolet (?) lights showed every single spec of cotton on your clothes but we just used to laugh at that and dance our legs off. Passed it about a year ago on the bus and my heart nearly broke to see the state it was in. Glad it's been done up now.

My sisters and i used to go the Trees in the 60`s we had a brilliant time

My neighbour went with a group of family members the other day and enjoyed the food but said the drinks were very expensive. Still we will give it a try one day. Carol nothing stays the same and does not always change for the better does it?. Jean.
