The Deers Leap is a smashing pub, packed at tea times with all the builders. Sundays is great, lots in bar and lounge. The beer is really cheap and a great atmosphere. Mild and Guinness is fab. We love the place after Villa games and sometimes Sunday lunchtimes.
Buffet Island as its called (The Trees), has been packed to the bursting point since it opened. I will definitely get down there before Christmas. It's £15-50 a head, they also have a carvery which is great for my hubbie who owns eats English food.
Carol does that include lunchtime should imagine it wouldn't be as full. May try on Wednesday. The offer in the local paper is buy a drink and get one free for how long i don't know. Jean.
I remember The Trees, it was my first proper disco and the ultraviolet (?) lights showed every single spec of cotton on your clothes but we just used to laugh at that and dance our legs off. Passed it about a year ago on the bus and my heart nearly broke to see the state it was in. Glad it's been done up now.
My neighbour went with a group of family members the other day and enjoyed the food but said the drinks were very expensive. Still we will give it a try one day. Carol nothing stays the same and does not always change for the better does it?. Jean.
