The Tornado puffed out of York station on Tuesday night for Scarborough, it was the first time that a new steam locomotive had ridden Britains main lines since 1960 (so they say) but something tells me that that is wrong. BUT I AM NO EXPERT WHEN IT COMES TO THE RAILWAY. She will be based at the National Railway Museum in York until at least February it will undergo tests up to 75 mph before getting the go ahead to carry passengers on the rail network. It was built by the A1 steam locomotive trust...Cat
