We watched the programme last night too, the passion of all who worked with and flew the Spitfires was touching and even today, they are so proud of their Spitfire history, great programme I thought.

Interesting! It seems that buried aircraft engines is almost an urban myth!

There was a piece on the BBC Daybreak programme this morning about some possible boxed Spitfires buried in Burma (under a river which has helped to reserve them). Excavation is due to start in January. Viv.
