The Longboat, Cambrian Wharf

Yes it's still going strong. I was a regular in the late 90's / 2000's and always loved the friendly vibe there and the music for me was spot on. It's well worth a visit to sit outside by the canal on a nice sunny day. I always spoke of wanting a flat in one of the towers that tower over the flapper.. never did happen though lol. I imagine they're worth a pretty penny.

That is still a great song, appreciated by so many still! Cher was in Nashville (Music City) a few years ago and bought the house down with that song. Her voice a little weaker but adjusted with the newer audio technology.

Those properties became residential at some point.

When I was the DJ at the flapper I originally drove down the service road and loaded and unloaded through the side door of the pub and left my van there whilst I worked (it was a dead end apart from pedestrians).

All was well until the traffic wardens started to frequent on a regular basis and started hitting us with parking tickets.

The people who lived in those houses kindly gave me access through the barrier to park on their frontage each Friday & Saturday night, out of reach of the pesky traffic wardens!
