This is our first significant snowfall for several years, which is why such a light covering caused such disruption to just about everything – England has so little snow nowadays that everyone has forgotten how to cope with it!
Note the missing rails at the extreme lower left. I first noticed the gap around 2003 and I'm surprised not to have heard of anyone falling through it onto the riverbank about 12 feet below
I attended there from around 1952 to 1956 but its appearance has changed a lot since then. The windows at extreme left and extreme right are as I remember them, those additions in between seem to belong to an Alpine village. The neighbouring houses have been demolished, and railings added for a Colditz Castle effect. Ugh! Just another part of Birmingham's ongoing uglification I suppose.
